About this Event
Metropolitan State University students and Conflict Resolution Minnesota hosted a JAMS Listening Session on April 5, 2019 for community voices to discuss how conflict resolution can address community issues at their roots.
Together with the National Association for Community Mediation (NAFCM), we are working to collect information that will be used to improve community conflict resolution services nationwide, as well as locally here in Minnesota. Through this process, we are gathering direct input from you – the community members – to help us better understand what’s happening within our community. We know you are the experts on what your community needs, so we want to hear your ideas, thoughts, and suggestions. We value diversity and are seeking authentic voices. Your participation is critical! Share your unique perspective to impact community issues through conflict resolution and advocate for the priorities important to you.
· How can we better assist you in addressing community equity issues?
· What is the present role of conflict resolution in your community?
· What can be strengthened or changed?
The information we gather from you will be shared at the 2019 Annual Conflict Resolution Minnesota conference in St. Paul and with the JAMS Foundation and the National Association for Community Mediation at the national level. All information collected is confidential and voluntary. Participants will have the opportunity to be involved in co-creating next steps.
