Join Conflict Resolution Minnesota for its annual meeting at Green Mill in St. Paul.

Event Date:  Thursday June 27, 2019
Start Time:
5:30 p.m.

Green Mill Restaurant
57 Hamline Ave. South, St. Paul

The meeting will start with a presentation by Chamath Perera on the lessons conflict resolution professionals can draw from mindfulness meditation to better serve their clients and their own needs.

Mindfulness can help professionals be aware of their own stories, thoughts and emotions and how these are embodied. How can mindfulness practices help us address the questions and challenges of neutrality, objectivity and power in conflict resolution and mediation processes?

Mindfulness can help us catch mistakes before they are made by keeping us present in the moment, mindful of what is happening, and mindful of our own reactions. We can better appreciate the needs of clients, listen more attentively, and better honor our ethical obligations by being more aware of our biases and gut reactions.

Chamath’s presentation will be followed by our annual member business meeting, electing new board members and officers and briefly discussing plans for the coming year.

Appetizers will be provided.
